I marvel at how some artists are capable of nakedly exposing their inner most turmoil in unidimensional fashion. This weekend, I went to MoMA to see the Edvard Munch exhibit. He painted "The Scream", a riveting representation of psychosis.
The exhibit should not be missed as it assembles a variety of the artist's works and gives us more than a glimpse into a life of angst and pain. Most fascinating of all is the "Sick Child and Mother" (I believe this is the title). The mother's pain and the child's innocence are confounded and heartgripping.
Get thee to MoMA.
